LEGO Mindstorms NXT is a robotics kit which can be operated via the means of programming. It was first released by Lego in late July 2006. In this case study, we have created a model of the robot with similar functionalities.
It can be maneuvered for two kinds of moves via our application. One is called ‘Move’ and the other one is ‘Brute’.

• Move: This command controls the locomotion of the robot in an intelligent way. It works by moving the robot by avoiding the obstacles and proceeding towards the target position in the scene.
• Brute: This command controls the locomotion of the robot such that the robot moves without any regards to the obstacles around it. This comes in handy when someone just quickly wants the robot to be at a specific location or is resetting the scene.

Apart from executing the above two types of locomotion, it is also capable of transporting light objects. The robot is equipped with a shovel (claw) to handle this task in particular. This claw can be toggled up or down to pick up items.
