Dobot Magician: The Dobot is a robotic arm which could be useful in picking up objects. Its ability to pick up objects is however dependent on the proximity of the objects to the Dobot because the Dobot is immobile. The characteristic of the Dobot is similar to the characteristic that industrial robots possess.
LEGO Mindstorms NXT: Our framework does not only target industrial robots like the Dobot, but it also supports the NXT robot. The NXT robot unlike the Dobot is a mobile robot. The NXT robot is capable of moving to the position of the target objects, it has a pressure sensor which is used for grabbing objects, and an ultrasonic sensor which is responsible for the NXT robot’s vision.
