At the start of the project group, the covid-19 situation led to many discussions about the future of the project group. First of all, it was planned to work on both Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality aspects. However, due to lockdowns and contact restrictions, we were unable to access the HoloLens. This had a major impact on the future of the project group, as we decided to more or less abandon the work on the HoloLens and migrate the full framework to Android devices, as these were accessible to everyone remotely.
Corona has indeed blocked many aspects of our daily life. However, nothing could have stopped our amazing team from continuously working on this project. It was rather a joy to get together virtually and to decide on certain points concerning our project while being in the comfort of our residences. Our active engagement, motivation and perseverance as a team produced a fruitful result coupled with a plethora of experiences and learning. We have learned that if we imagine and hope, we can indeed achieve amazing results.
As a team, we have grown to accept the new normal and strive to make the framework beneficial.
